What We Leave Behind II
Art. Community. A Cause Worth Fighting For.
Last year, something incredible happened.
What started as a $5,000 fundraising goal turned into something far bigger than we could have imagined. Through the generosity of our community, the incredible artists who gave their time and talent, individual contributions and donations, and the support of our neighbors at No Coast Sushi, we were able to donate over $18,000 to the Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation.
That wasn't just a successful fundraiser. It was proof of what our community can accomplish when we come together for something bigger than ourselves.
And this year, we're doing it again.
On Saturday, November 7, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM, First Street Tattoo Parlor and The Grimm Tiger are coming together to host the second annual What We Leave Behind, a 24-hour live art fundraiser benefiting the Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation.
Once again, our team of artists will dedicate their time, creativity, and energy to creating original works of art to help raise funds for young people in our community who have experienced severe trauma and need access to healing, support, and therapeutic resources.
THIS YEAR, WE'RE OPENING THE DOORS.
As part of The Grimm Tiger's involvement, our gallery will be open to the public during the event, giving guests, supporters, and contributors the opportunity to experience the fundraiser in person.
Come see the artists at work. Watch original pieces take shape and come to life. Meet the people behind the artwork, experience the creative process, and witness firsthand what our community is doing for this cause.
And for those who can't make it in person, the entire event will still be broadcast live through our social media, with livestream production made possible by our friends at Concert Design Innovations.
Whether you're visiting the gallery or watching from home, you'll have the opportunity to follow along, support the artists, and help us make another meaningful contribution to Sozo.

Our neighbors at No Coast Sushi are stepping up once again,
donating 20% of all sales on November 7 to the cause.
That means grabbing lunch, enjoying dinner,
or stopping in for a bite will directly contribute to this year's fundraising efforts.
We encourage everyone to make a day of it. Come down to First Street, enjoy some incredible food at No Coast Sushi, and stop by The Grimm Tiger to see the amazing original artwork our team will be creating throughout the event.
It's an opportunity to support local businesses, local artists, and, most importantly, young people in our community who need our help.
WHY WE DO THIS
The Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation works to help youth in Western Colorado who have experienced significant trauma and need access to therapeutic care, support, and opportunities for healing.
We believe art has the power to bring people together, start conversations, and create real change. What We Leave Behind is our way of putting that belief into action.
Last year, you helped us turn a $5,000 goal into more than $18,000 for Sozo.
This year, we're asking you to be part of that story again.

Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation
Every Child Deserves a Chance to Heal.
Sozo is a Greek word meaning to make whole, to protect, to heal, and to restore. These four simple ideas are at the heart of everything the Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation stands for.
For many children, growing up comes with challenges. But for young people who have experienced severe trauma, those challenges can become overwhelming. Trauma doesn't always disappear with time. It can affect how a child thinks, feels, builds relationships, and sees their own future. Without the right support, those experiences can follow them well into adulthood.
That's where Sozo makes a difference.
Serving vulnerable youth throughout Western Colorado, the Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation works to provide access to therapeutic care, mentorship, and individualized healing opportunities for young people who might otherwise go without them.
Their mission goes beyond addressing behaviors or helping children through difficult moments. It's about understanding the experiences behind those struggles, building meaningful connections, and giving young people the opportunity to heal, grow, and recognize their own worth.
MORE THAN A NAME. A PLACE TO BELONG.
The word Sanctuary is just as important to Sozo's mission.
Sanctuary means safety. It means acceptance. It means having somewhere to turn when the world feels uncertain, and knowing that someone cares enough to help.
While Sozo's long-term vision includes establishing a dedicated therapeutic community, their work is already making a difference through individualized therapeutic interventions, mentorship, and partnerships with people and organizations committed to helping vulnerable youth.
Every child's experience is different, and so is their path toward healing. Sozo recognizes that meaningful recovery requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach. It takes patience, trust, consistency, and care for the whole person.
